Almahdi’s “core skill set”, is specifically focused on finding the “white space” through data mining and analysis andstrategically developing overall strategic direction across the firms’ portfolio of clients. Almahdi is also an expert in globalbrand positioning and marketing communication development along with marketing and business growth investmentplanning.  ​

Prior to joining Phronesis Almahdi was a Managing Partner with Dunstan Surfwear, a start-up mass customization retailerwhere he managed all global operations. Prior to Dunstan, Almahdi was the Chief Strategy Officer at Advanced MediaHolding Company (AMHC) in the Middle East which included media companies Alwatan daily newspaper, Leap Media Repsand Alif Alif FM where he helped guide a media portfolio consisting of revenues over $50 million. Prior to AMHC, Almahdiwas the Commercial Development Manager for General Electric International (GE) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia andYemen where during his tenure, he helped secure over US $3 billion in annual revenue. Prior to GE, Almahdi was aManaging Partner with Kalliope Hospitality Advisors (KHA), managing several F&B startups across the US. Earlier inAlmahdi’s career, he was a senior Marketing Manager for the Coca-Cola Company managing the companies’ full portfolio ofbrands across the Middle East (Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE and Oman) Prior to Coca-Cola, Almahdi was anAccount Director for McCann-Erickson Middle East where he managed Coca-Cola, Batelco (Bahrain Telecom) and Zamil AirConditioning. ​​

Almahdi obtained a BSBA in International Business (Dec. 1992) and an MBA in Marketing (Aug 1994) from The AmericanUniversity, Washington, D.C. In his spare time, he enjoys rebuilding and modifying rare/specialty sports cars. When asked,“what was your defining moment?” his answer is simple, “Completing an international marathon in 2003”.​
