In his career as architect, he has led majorprojects like the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg and was responsible for large-scale projects across Europe, USA, Middle Eastand Asia. His work often intersects with technology and sustainability, exemplified in his role in developing a digital brandaimed at revolutionizing the construction sector.
David is a strategic leader driving innovation and efficiency in the construction and infrastructure sectors. His expertise blends design, technology, and risk management to deliver sustainable impact.
David’s career is characterized by his effective management and strategic planning skills, especially in handling risk-relatedissues in large-scale projects. He established a group-wide risk mitigation culture in Hochtief and developed a cross-functional framework integrating innovation, organizational, and risk issues. As CEO of Nexplore, he led a team of engineersto develop technology solutions for the construction industry and fostered an innovation culture across the ACS/Hochtiefgroup.
His educational background includes a Master of Architecture with a minor in the History of Arts from TU Darmstadt,Germany, complemented by studies in Sociology and a Bachelor of Philosophy. This academic foundation has enriched hisapproach to leadership and innovation, allowing him to successfully navigate and contribute to various sectors, includingarchitecture, construction, and digital technology.
