A SWF in the Middle East with over US $700B in funds and investment assets, requestedPhronesis provide strategic direction, approval and tracking solutions, execution and operationalplan and governance apparatus to manage multiple stakeholders across the government tounderstand the success, the elements that procure or hinder success and ROI of their over US$122B in domestic investments occurring through the countries’ treasury mechanism.
The result
Phronesis provided the strategic direction, solution design and built the governanceapparatus that provided oversight and monitoring of future domestic investments. Before rollingout the organization that was steering the solution across multiple ministries, Phronesis ran a pilotwithin one Ministerial organization that was allocated US $18B for domestic initiatives in 2019. Thenew organization built by Phronesis, armed with the monitoring solution, was able to conclude thatUS $65m in funds went towards initiatives that never yielded an ROI. We also were able to showthat from the original US $18B budget, US $1.73B of funds went unallocated and was returned to thetreasury and ultimately our SWF client. Formal rollout was halted due to the Covid-19 pandemic andwill roll out Ministerial wide starting in Q1 2023
The biggest challenge was that Arguzo was not utilizing technology properly. Too much of the work was still being recorded manually, which meant that the numbers took a long time to note down and then to be analyzed. Live data was also not available and decisions can only be made after all the required data and been received. This was holding Arguzo back; they knew they could corner more of the market if they had the ability to be more mobile. The work addressed three critical issues for Pharm Ltd.:
The solution WP consulting came up with combined cutting edge technology with real world practicality. Everyone knew that the systems had to be updated, the real challenge was updating them without disrupting the whole organization in a negative way. The solution was to introduce proper workload management done through computers, while providing mobile platforms to the stakeholders.

For sustainable growth, a big-picture strategy managed by HR professionals or service providers will be key. This allowed the workers to be involved in the job instead of feeling like they had been made redundant by technology.
