Phronesis was engaged to develop a patient demographic and healthcare study to drive strategic changefor the hospital through our strategic direction planning process. The goal was to take the results from thestudy and build a playbook on how to expand existing operations and services of a private hospital systemin the GCC to service profound new demand.
The patient demographic study and strategic growth plan provided business and market analysis to thehospital leadership team that provided the needed insights to guide the strategic playbook development.We presented the playbook and findings as well as the execution path forward of the playbook to hospitalleadership through multiple strategic planning workshops.
The result
After creating and implementing a hospital wide governance and stakeholderframework, we then helped the teams from the hospital execute the strategic playbookelements to drive patient affinity to the hospital which in turn grew patient growth to over 34%over a two-year period which resulted in significant revenue growth across multiple clinicalareas of care.
The biggest challenge was that Arguzo was not utilizing technology properly. Too much of the work was still being recorded manually, which meant that the numbers took a long time to note down and then to be analyzed. Live data was also not available and decisions can only be made after all the required data and been received. This was holding Arguzo back; they knew they could corner more of the market if they had the ability to be more mobile. The work addressed three critical issues for Pharm Ltd.:
The solution WP consulting came up with combined cutting edge technology with real world practicality. Everyone knew that the systems had to be updated, the real challenge was updating them without disrupting the whole organization in a negative way. The solution was to introduce proper workload management done through computers, while providing mobile platforms to the stakeholders.

For sustainable growth, a big-picture strategy managed by HR professionals or service providers will be key. This allowed the workers to be involved in the job instead of feeling like they had been made redundant by technology.
